Natalia Mikhailovna Vodianova (Russian: Наталья Михайловна Водянова, pronunciation Nataľja Mihajlovna Voďanova, born 28 February 1982) is a Russian model and philanthropist who now permanently resides in the United Kingdom.

Born in Gorky, USSR (now Nizhny Novgorod, Russia), Natalia Vodianova grew up in a poor district of the city with her mother and two half sisters, one of whom has cerebral palsy. As a teenager, Vodianova helped her mother sell fruit on the street and later set up her own fruit stand with a friend to help her family out of poverty.

Vodianova's father walked out on the family when Natalia was a toddler, and she did not have any further contact with him until after she had become famous.

In November 2001, Vodianova married Justin Trevor Berkeley Portman, a British property heir and half-brother of the 10th Viscount Portman. In September 2002, over nine months after registering the marriage in the UK, they had a wedding ceremony in St. Petersburg, where Vodianova wore a dress designed by Tom Ford. As the wife of The Honourable Justin Portman, which is a courtesy title, she is entitled to be styled The Honourable Mrs Justin Portman. The couple have three children: son Lucas Alexander (born 22 November 2001), daughter Neva (born 24 March 2006) and son Viktor (born 13 September 2007). Viktor is named after Vodianova's grandfather, who had helped raise her after her father's departure. Neva is named after the Russian river Neva.[26] In London, her friends include fellow Russian Dasha Zhukova, wife of Roman Abramovich, and supermodel Eva Herzigova.

Sofia Andreyevna Rudieva (Russian: София Андреевна Рудьева; born 15 November 1990) is a Russian model and beauty queen who is the winner of Miss Russia 2009.

Biography

Sofia Rudieva was born in 1990 in Leningrad, now Saint Petersburg, to Andrey Rudiev and Tatyana Rudieva, a family of artists. At first, she wanted to follow her parents' path, and studied at an art school for 10 years in her childhood. She then studied acting, until she became more confident in her beauty and joined a modelling agency when she was 15. Her parents separated when she was 12 years old, and she chose to stay with her father. She graduated from high school in 2008, and is planning to study at a university in the future. Prior to her crowning as Miss Russia 2009, she had already several years of experience in modeling business and had taken part in a number of professional fashion shows.

In March, 2009, she won the Miss Russia 2009 pageant, and was awarded with a $100,000 prize. She said she would donate most of her prize money to charity, for helping homeless animals.

After her victory, she was named Russia's representative in the Miss Universe 2009 contest, which was to be held in the Bahamas in August, 2009. She said that she was preparing seriously for the occasion, by taking more training in modelling and acting, doing sports and working to improve her already good English even further.

Sofia has said she feels that winning the crown to Russia would be important for her country. Being asked about the unique characteristics of Russian women, she replied: "I strongly believe that Russian women are strong in spirit. They can be both very strong and energetic on the one hand and tender and sweet wives and caring mothers, on the other. The Russian mother is the best in the world."

The Miss Universe 2009 crown was won by Venezuela's Stefania Fernandez. Russia, Ukraine and Poland did not make it to the final 15.

Irina Antonenko was born on 1 September 1991 in the city of Yekaterinburg located on the eastern side of the Ural Mountains. Her parents, Natalia and Igor Antonenko, were both employees of the police. She completed her high school education in school No. 156. According to the school director, Irina was "a very modest and polite girl." Whilst studying at the school, Antonenko entered her first beauty pageant, in which she failed to make the top three. After finishing high school, she began to study finance at the Ural Finance and Jurisprudence Institute. Around the same time, she also started her modelling career. In 2009, she won the regional Miss Yekaterinburg beauty contest.

On 6 March 2010, Antonenko was crowned Miss Russia 2010 in a contest held in Moscow. The crown was handed over to her by outgoing titleholder Sofia Rudieva. In addition to the crown, she received a cash prize of $100,000, which she plans to spend mostly on charity, to help children who are ill.  The jury concluded that there is more to Russia's new beauty than meets the eye, and that she has the brains to match the looks.

After her coronation as Miss Russia, she started modelling for the world famous designer Philipp Plein, and also participated in fashion shows by such designers as Olga Deffi, Alina Assi, Ilya Shiyan and Vyacheslav Zaitsev, one of the most well-known Russian fashion designers.

Antonenko stands 178 centimetres (5.84 ft) tall, and has the measurements 80 centimetres (31 in) (chest), 61 centimetres (24 in) (waist) and 91 centimetres (36 in) (hips). She represented Russia in the Miss Universe 2010 pageant held in the United States. Her final position was in the top 15.

While preparing for the Miss Universe 2010 competition, she stated that she doesn't have a boyfriend yet. "I haven’t got any time for boyfriends. My day begins with English classes and come to a end with fashion parade late in the evening. I rarely think about men now, but, of course, love is inside each of us." She will be accompanied by her mother and grandmother to Las Vegas where the contest is held. Her main dress at the competition was a $60,000 Empire style hand-made evening silk dress by Jacob Schaefer. As the traditional gift required by each participant, she brought hand-painted Matryoshkas. Each of them had a picture of one of the 2005-2009 Miss Universe winners.

Antonenko believes her best qualities are persistence, sincerity and friendliness, as well as drive and passion in the fight for victory.

As for her future plans, she has said that she wishes to continue her studies and even plans to pursue post-graduate degree after graduating
